Dr. Roy Zwahlen
Dr. Roy Zwahlen is Chief Strategy Officer at Eshelman Innovation and a leading voice in global innovation strategy and ecosystem development. Raised as an Army brat across the Middle East, Roy’s formative years in Jordan, Turkey, Kuwait, and Syria shaped a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and global perspective. He studied political science and economics at BYU and earned his law degree from George Mason University, where his interest in multiculturalism and systems thinking took shape. After advising biotech leaders and policymakers worldwide, Roy chose to build innovation infrastructure directly. As co-author of Race to Innovation, he focuses on governance, ownership, and acceleration strategies that unlock innovation across communities.
